This portal is only for students who have enrolled at Charlotte Lab School for the 2017-18 school year and wish to use the service on a regular basis. Charlotte Lab School partners with Eagle Bus Service to provide convenient cluster meeting points.  We do not provide door-to-door service. Cluster meeting points are preferable because they minimize the time students spend on the bus and the pick-up and drop-off times are consistent each day. Such reliability is never guaranteed with door-to-door service. Students are to use the cluster stop chosen by their parents/guardians. Bus drivers are not to allow students to use any bus stop they please.  Consistency by the students in the bus stops they use will help the driver to keep track of the students. Students may use one stop in the morning and a different stop in the afternoon, provided they are consistent and don’t change.

Parents and guardians are required to have adult supervision for their student(s) when the bus arrives at the afternoon stop. If there is no adult at the stop to meet the student, the bus driver will return the student to school at the end of the route where an approved adult will pick them up.  If you request that your student stay at the school, you must immediately provide for your child's pickup at the school and make the required daily transportation change by 2pm ET on the school’s transportation change form which can be found on the school's website.

Unless road or other conditions make it inadvisable, school buses shall be routed on state-maintained highways, municipal streets, or other streets with publicly dedicated right-of-way. Each school bus shall be routed so that the bus passes within three miles of the residence of each pupil assigned to that bus.  A route may not deviate from a general path of direction for a distance of less than three miles and then return to the original path except for groups of 10 or more pupils.

Payments draft on the 25th of each month for the upcoming month. (August 25th - May 25th)
I understand that I should arrive 10 minutes prior to stop time. Bus may arrive up to 5 minutes early. The bus will not wait for students who are not at the stop when the bus arrives. *
It is the school's policy that no child is allowed to leave the bus without an adult guardian or older sibling to meet the child. Parents or guardians should wait for the child on the right side of the bus so the student will not be required to cross in front of the bus alone, or behind it. In the event that an adult guardian is not waiting for the child at the bus stop, the child will be returned to the school and the parents or emergency contact will be notified. For each child returned to the school, parents will be charged. If a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult cannot be reached by 6pm, the police will be notified. *
